Description
Founded as a 501(c)3 organization in 2014, the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS) represents a growing membership of 400 plus independent schools. Originally formed to address the unique challenges of independent school technology directors, ATLIS has expanded to support all aspects of technology at schools, ensuring that they are equipped to thrive in the future, while dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive association. ATLIS’s mission is for independent schools to be equipped for the future. There are three primary identities that ATLIS pursues - empowering schools as the expert, supporting valued professionals as a mentor, and delivering a body of knowledge as an indispensable resource. Ultimately, ATLIS’s work to fuel independent schools’ excellence assists students, teachers and administrators to thrive, delivers career pathways of influence to valued technology leaders, and provides world-class resources and experiences to ensure strategic thought leadership.
The CEO reports to a sixteen-member board of directors. They operate with a high-performance, strategic culture in a strong partnership with the CEO, who leads a virtual team of six employees. Working together, they desire to earn the reputation of a best-in-class association, while delivering on a highly focused strategy. The Board expects the CEO to be accountable for ATLIS operations and culture. The board is focused on continuing a strong momentum, delivering high value, and accelerating growth and capacity from the current $1.9 million budget.
